Which metric matters most when comparing GPUs?
It depends on your workload. If you're renting for short bursts, the live $/hr and its power cost dominate. If you're running 24/7 or buying, the true TCO and breakeven month matter more. This tool shows all of it so you can weight what matters to you.
Why are consumer cards like the RTX 5090 in the list?
Because a huge amount of India's hobbyist and small-scale inference runs on consumer GPUs. Comparing them against data-center cards (H100, B200) shows you when the cheaper card's lower rent but higher electricity-share-of-cost flips the math.
Is the TCO calculation editable?
The rent overhead % and per-month costs are methodology defaults, clearly labelled in the code. The live rent, power draw at your utilization, and electricity at your state tariff are computed from your inputs; the ownership cost uses a realistic hardware price plus electricity and a set operating-cost default. It's a directional planning tool, not a quote.
